Dear International Students:

Our offices, GEO, OIPS, and UCS, are partnering to provide networking among international students and internship opportunities for Mason students—both US and international students—at locations around the world. We hope you are interested to learn more.

Beginning in the fall, we will be hosting events for international students, based on regions of the world. At these events, you can meet other students from your own and nearby countries. You will also meet staff from our three offices—Global Education, International Programs and Services, and University Career Services. We are eager to hear your ideas about internship and job opportunities for students interested in career development in your country.

We hope that we can achieve several goals through this process. Obviously, the opportunity for an internship, especially one outside the US, is exciting for Mason students in many different fields of study. At the same time, sending the best and brightest Mason students overseas to develop their professional competency can raise the University’s profile. This leads to increased interest by prospective students, and it increases the value of the Mason degree.

Please watch for announcements of the networking events we will jointly sponsor to begin this process. In the meantime, if you have an interest or ideas to contribute, please complete the form below to let us know.

With our best regards,

Brian Gibson, Executive Director, Global Education Office
Judith A. vanBever-Green, Executive Director, Office of International Programs and Services
Saskia Clay-Rooks, Executive Director, University Career Services
