¡Hola! My name is Jonathan Carmona, and I serve as the Interim Associate Director for Engagement and Assessment and the Assistant Director for International Engagement in OIPS. I have been at Mason for nearly 15 years (6 as a Mason student and 8 as a staff member). I am currently a PhD student in Education with a concentration in Higher Education. I love working with and meeting both international and domestic students from all over the world! It’s an honor to work with students from over 130 countries and to create a space where they can connect and learn from one another. I’m passionate about learning about other cultures and currently aim to visit every country in the Americas.

Hi everyone! My name is Lesly, and I’m a graduate student at George Mason University studying Biology with a concentration in Neuroscience, with a plan to study medicine and become a physician. I came to the United States with my mom when I was 4 years old and understand the struggles of learning a new language and acclimating to a new environment. As such, I am passionate about cultivating a community that welcomes individuals of all backgrounds and encourages others to learn about different cultures. My name is Jihyun Lee, and I am a senior from Mason Korea majoring in Conflict Analysis and Resolution, with minors in Criminology, Law and Society, and Organizational Conflict Resolution. I genuinely enjoy helping others and find it especially rewarding when something I share or do makes someone’s experience a little easier. Having recently made the transition from Mason Korea to the Fairfax campus myself, I understand that adjusting to a new campus, community, and environment can come with many questions.
