Having once been an international student myself, I understand how challenging yet rewarding the study abroad journey can be. That’s why I’m passionate about what I do—providing programs and initiatives to help you feel at home and connected to the Mason community. I enjoy running, traveling, cooking, and trying delicious food from around the world. I look forward to learning from each and every one of you!

¡Hola! My name is Jonathan Carmona, and I serve as the Assistant Director for International Engagement in OIPS. I have been at Mason for nearly 12 years (6 as a Mason student and 6 as a staff member). I love working with and meeting both international and domestic students from all over the world! It’s an honor to work with students from over 130 countries and to create a space where they can connect and learn from one another. I’m passionate about learning about other cultures and currently have a goal to visit every country in the Americas.
