His penchant for helping people, coupled with his philosophy, ‘To whom much is given, much is expected,’ has been a strong factor that motivated Kevin to graciously accept this new role with the International Student Advisory Board (ISAB). As such, he plans to continue what he knows best: helping his fellow students by advocating for their needs, sharing their concerns, and providing feedback on student support services and helping to foster an already inclusive and welcoming campus environment by planning and implementing activities that nurture both their academic and personal success.

Before he arrived in the US, Kevin served his country as Junior Mayor in local government, where his role encompassed, but was not limited to: advocating for infrastructure for rural communities, implementing social programs for youth at risk, organizing outreach programs for senior citizens and charity events for children, and volunteering in schools and the wider community. He also served as a male mentor for boys at an elementary school.

Kevin strongly believes the adage that ‘all work and no play make Jack a dull boy.’ Consequently, he finds time to interact with nature, particularly cats and farm animals. He looks forward to taking trips back to Jamaica to visit the farm and to play with the surviving members of his 13 felines.
