The International Buddy Program (IBP) aims to build cross-cultural relationships between George Mason’s students from different cultures and countries as they enjoy OIPS-facilitated events and activities. Whether you are international or domestic, IBP can be a great way to connect, share experiences, and participate together. To see what the program looks like in action, you can view photos from our Fall 2025 events here: https://gmuoips.smugmug.com/Fall-2025.
This program is built on a foundation of conversation, cultural exchange, and friendship. We hope you can join us!

Why Participate? For Domestic Students To help international students feel more comfortable and familiar with the George Mason campus and American culture, while introducing them to new activities and sharing experiences based on mutual interests. For International Students To help domestic and fellow international students learn about the diverse cultures and perspectives represented among our international student population, connect with domestic peers, and explore new activities or share experiences based on mutual interests.
