PACE stands for Professional, Academic, and Cultural Engagement. The PACE workshop series will offer international students an inside scoop on how to navigate life in the United States, by:
- Helping students learn the keys to success for the American education system
- Preparing students for US work culture by practicing US professional etiquette
- Guiding students in participating in Mason college culture and American society
These goals will be accomplished by completing a series of workshops, reflection exercises, and gaining practical experience on campus and within the local community. The estimated time commitment for PACE participants is 10-12 hours for one semester. This includes attending 4 in-person workshops (1.5 hrs each), completing 2 online modules (20-60 minutes each), attending at least 2 campus events, and conducting an exit interview and survey. Participants will be provided with a light snack and beverage at each in-person workshop.
